Allahabad High Court rejects PIL instituted for Declaration of holiday on the festival of ‘Karwa Chauth’

The Hon’ble Bench of Allahabad High Court rejected the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) instituted for declaration of holiday on the festival of ‘Karwa Chauth’ states that the declaration of holidays falls in the real of policy matters of state.

The Court further stated the courts cannot entertain such disputes unless guided by statute. Even otherwise festivals are commonly celebrated by all.
