Allahabad High Court directed to remove counsel from the panel of Kanpur Development Authority on absence

The Allahabad High Court, in its order dated 31 July 2025, ordered removal of one of the panel Advocate of Kanpur Development Authority after the learned Advocate failed to appear before the bench. The advocate was represented by the delegatee Advocate, a junior colleague.

The Bench expressed disapproval of the conduct of the panel Advocate and the delegation of the case brief to the junior colleague.

The further expressed “if the counsel has so much of work and he is not able to appear in the Court, he should not accept the brief of Kanpur Development Authority which is a semi Government body.”
